Bonding of brake pads and clutch facing

We bond the friction materials in our own workshop, ie brake pads, friction pads and clutch facing.

We use, in most cases a hot-bonding method which basically means that the glue armies under heat and pressure. The result is a bond that even at a high temperature friction will retain its high strength.

Bonding is a special process. The only way to establish whether the desired results are achieved is by destructive testing. When doing this, it’s important that all parameters such as pressures, temperatures and holding times and surface treatment are controlled. We document these properties and know that the result will be a good bond.
