There is a wide variety of friction materials for use in various industrial applications, such as brake pads, friction pads, clutch facing and brake linings.

Rydahls currently has access to more than a hundred different friction materials in several dimensions.

In principle, one can divide the friction material of two different groups. It is woven friction materials and moulded friction materials.

Woven friction materials

Woven friction materials are mainly produced in rolls. Some also manufactured in sheets or for any specific requests or wishes. These friction materials are used mainly for bands brakes and winches.

Moulded friction materials

Moulded friction materials are available in rolls, strips and plates. Materials may contain metal or be completely without metal. Even the purely mechanical properties as hardness, strength, ability to process and glue varies.
